Hello, and Happy New Year!
I don’t know about your household, but if you have ADHD chances are pretty good you will have a child(ren) with ADHD or Executive Functioning issues (highly genetic issues). ALL three of mine do! We are a household of “out-of-sight, out-of-mind” people. We all need visual cues, and we LOVE color and graphics! 🙂
I am sharing with you a chart (cheat sheet) that I made, and that we have hanging in our entryway. The kids (umm… and adults) can refer to it to make sure that they will be prepared for whatever temperatures it may be that day.
The real trick is to get them to check it each day BEFORE they get dressed to go out! The ideal way to do this is to check the weather, and the chart, and then pick out (and lay out) the clothes the night before. If your house is like mine, yeah, that probably won’t happen. So, at the very least, check the weather and the chart the night before, and write it on a note to take to bed with you so you will know what kind of clothes to pick in the morning (or even your hand. Yes, my hand, and my hubby’s hand, are regular note taking places! The beauty of this is that I don’t lose the note, unless I have to wash my hands during the night! lol).
If you can do the above, at least most of the time, there will be a lot less dressing frustrations in the morning rush. You have my money-back guarantee! 😉
Go ahead and grab your free PDF (this is opened with Adobe Reader, which you can download FREE here) of this chart here, or on the image above. It is my way of saying “thank you” for stopping by and checking out my site!
